Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for all Installation cable and containment management systems. Support Maintenance with Electrical fault rectifications as required. Required to install and terminate various types of cables including, SWA, FP & Singles and installation of Cubic associated equipment. Prepare cables and modules prior to delivery to site. To install mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment. Assist the Senior Technician or Team Leader/Supervisor in inspection, testing and commissioning of electronic, electrical and/or mechanical equipment and for making site good after installation of equipment. Support the Senior Technician or Team Leader or Supervisor with the preparation of site reports. Assist other Installation Technicians in the execution of their works. To collect and deliver materials and equipment to and from sites, subcontractors, depots, suppliers and Cubic stores. Ensure all electronic records are kept in accordance with processes and procedures, and are accurate, legible and in a timely manner. as required by Cubic management. To ensure that all Installation works undertaken are carried out at a standard of quality compatible with ISO 9001, and 18th Edition Electrical regulations. To ensure that Statutory Health and Safety at Work Act and any other rules and regulations are complied with. Responsible for Testing and inspecting of Electrical installations and completion of the NICEIC certificates as necessary. Attend meetings in the office as required. Perform Site Person in Charge role Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications City & Guilds in Electrical Installation Work to NVQ3 Time served apprenticeship Level 3 technical and vocational qualification or Level 3 Diploma 18th edition BS7671. - City & Guilds 2382-18 Qualification City & Guilds 2391-52 or equal Skills/Experience/Knowledge Previous experience working in a similar role in an Installation, Engineering or trade environment Ability to read and interpret Schematic and Mechanical Engineering drawings. Extensive experience in the installation and termination of cables. Experience in the use of calibrated Electrical Test Instruments. Knowledge and experience of Installing mechanical/containment systems is desirable. Ability to lead an installation team desirable. Previous experience of working in an LUL or Network Rail environment desirable. A comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety and relevant legal regulations. (IOSH Qualification) Clean driving licence.
