An exciting new position is available for a motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled Skin Cancer CNS to join the Dermatology Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to pilot a new service initiative.
The service has seen a rapid growth in skin cancer referrals, and we are keen to develop nurse-led initiatives. The successful applicant will take over the screening of teledermatology 2-week wait referrals as well as perform standard Dermatology skin cancer CNS duties.
The post holder will collaborate closely with the Skin Cancer Lead, ensuring individual patients are triaged accordingly. The aim of this initiative is to further develop the teledermatology service to provide a high-quality service enabling skin cancer patients to receive treatment in the most time-efficient manner possible.
Main duties of the job

The post holder will collaborate closely with the Skin Cancer Lead, ensuring individual patients are triaged accordingly, to promote a seamless, high-quality service in line with national advancements in skin cancer patient pathways. As a member of the clinical nurse specialist team, the postholder will undertake minor surgery sessions, outpatient clinics, and telephone clinics for patients diagnosed or suspected to have skin cancer. We expect advanced clinical expertise and knowledge that will be pivotal in driving service development through nurse-led initiatives.
