We are currently working with a leading main contractor with a turnover of £650m and a strong international presence across sectors who are looking for a BMS project manager to join their team on a very notable data centre they are delivering in Newport Wales. As BMS project manager you will work alongside the MEP lead, acting as the BMS specialist to engage with and lead all relevant stakeholders associated with your discpline across the campus to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery of BMS projects. Creation of the project design technical submissions. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress. Client and Stakeholder Management Establish and maintain relationships with clients, third parties/vendors, and all project stakeholders. Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Technical Expertise and Oversight Provide technical direction and support for project team members. Utilize extensive knowledge of BMS systems to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. Oversee the integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems into the BMS. Team Leadership Lead project teams, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure team members have the tools they need to succeed. Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels. Track project performance to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Quality Assurance Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Meet with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific project requirements. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Qualifications /Experience: Proven working experience in project management within the BMS environment. Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Trend and either Schneider, Siemens and/or Tridium systems. Skills: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking. Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project). Possess a positive, proactive mindset focused on problem solving and collaboration with teams and clients alike. The scheme is due to run for circa 3 years with add ons likely in this campus and more tenders out across the south wales and SW england region.
