How the Cover Supervisor Industry Works:
The cover supervisor role offers both flexibility and opportunity. You may be called upon for day-to-day cover supervisor roles to manage classes in the absence of teachers, with the freedom to choose assignments as they arise. Alternatively, you can take on long-term positions for a more consistent work schedule in secondary schools across Walsall. Requirements:
Relevant experience or qualification in education or youth work.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage with students.
A valid DBS check. If you already have a DBS, it must be registered on the Update Service. If not, you will be responsible for obtaining and paying for a new DBS check.
A Level 1 Safeguarding certificate dated within the last year. If you don't have one, you will need to complete a free safeguarding course provided by Aspire People.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting student learning.
