Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained and roadworthy
2. Performing regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
3. Assigning and overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
4. Ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and qualified
5. Maintaining accurate records for each vehicle and the cargo transported
6. Overseeing the planning and scheduling of routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery and collection deadlines
7. Monitoring transportation costs and finding ways to reduce expenses
8. Managing all aspects of the O Licence including legal compliance, tachograph rules and driver infringements
9. Dealing with driver disciplinarieswhere necessary
