NRL has some great and new opportunities for Assistant Project Managers to be a part of major project work involving nuclear new build stations. Candidates must live in or around the Bristol area due to the client not paying accommodation allowances ect.
Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, our client are seeking to expand their team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development.
To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join their diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.
The purpose of the role is to provide operational sponsorship direction and oversight.
1. Working closely with the Supply Chain, Responsible Designer, Engineering and Quality teams, you’ll be dedicated to delivering a group of nuclear power plant systems, structures, components, and contracts within one of the delivery programmes
2. You’ll be responsible for the timely delivery of engineering studies by the RD or by key contractors and for ensuring they meet the needs of the project.
3. Working together you’ll drive the implementation of site-specific design changes into the design deliverables in their programme, including contract specifications to enable robust pricing.
4. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on post financial investment contracts, and drive the implementation of site- specific design changes.
5. This post also has the responsibility to ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities in accordance with the overall Project schedule.
What you will need:
6. Degree educated, ideally in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field
7. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover
8. Additionally, you’ll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
9. Must be able to obtain secuirty clearance
