DAS Law (Part of ARAG UK) are seeking an Associate Supervisor to join our growing Contract Disputes team within our Volume Litigation Department. As part of the Wider DAS UK Group, which includes our market-leading Legal Expenses Insurance provision, DAS Law enjoys a steady stream of varied and interesting work into the firm.
As an Associate Supervisor in the Contract Disputes team, you will be responsible for the technical supervision of a small sub team, predominantly focusing on Small Claims Track matters. You may also from time-to-time, handle a caseload of no more than 10 consumer and commercial contract cases of Fast or Intermediate Track value, which will require you to:
* Assess the prospects of success of contract claims consisting of consumer and commercial contract disputes, for claimants and defendants, of a Fast and low-end Multi Track value.
* Act for clients, negotiating and litigating claims through the civil courts if necessary to trial.
* Provide an excellent customer service to clients of DAS Law.
* Assist the team’s Senior and Principal Associate managers when required, and coaching junior members of the team with their caseloads.
* Negotiate claims to a successful outcome through the most efficient and economic means.
We are looking for candidates with the following experience & attributes:
* Experience and knowledge of contract law and civil procedure is essential, including experience of running Fast Track value cases.
* Experience in supervising, mentoring and training junior colleagues.
* Articulate and confident in client care with an ability to embrace a changing environment in a new kind of law firm.
* Excellent client care skills.
* Ability to act on their own initiative and knowing when to seek assistance.
* Competent at adapting style to communication need.
* Familiar with SRA standards and obligations.
