Role
To provide guidance and practical support in the day-to-day running of The Jeely Early Years’ Service. Must be SVQ Level 3/4 Qualified or equivalent (Must be willing to gain qualification). Must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council. You will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. You will ensure that the provision is of the highest quality.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will help change the lives of young people facing exclusion by supporting them using food and cooking as a vehicle to build skills and confidence. The post holder will support young people from 11+, with core groups aged from 14+, to gain positive experiences through a blend of group work, vocational training, accreditation, 1-2-1 delivery and outcomes-driven youth work. This means that the successful candidate will be expected to inspire and be inspired by young people. Using food, cooking and the professional rigour expected in a kitchen, the post holder will design and deliver engaging sessions that give groups and individuals a strong sense of power and purpose.
A full driving license for manual vehicles is essential for this role.

* To support individuals to understand and fulfil their rights and responsibilities in all aspects of their lives
* To support individuals when engaging with external agencies and third parties as an advocate
* To support and promote healthy eating
* To encourage and support individuals to maintain or develop a full, inclusive social life
* To provide emotional support to individuals in challenging times
* To support people with intimate self-care tasks and encourage individuals towards greater self-sufficiency in these areas
* To support individuals to effectively manage any behavioural challenges they may present
* To provide support allowing individuals to manage their own finances and medication
