Job overview
We are currently recruiting for an Executive Support Officer on a full time, permanent basis. This role provides a comprehensive high-level, professional, and confidential administration service to the Director of Partnerships and Operations for North and East Yorkshire. Acting as a positive first contact for all staff, patients, public and senior stakeholders from across the wider system.
The role is predominantly home-based with the requirement to travel in the North/East Yorkshire area to attend meetings/events. This is expected to be approximately two or three times per month.
Main duties of the job
As an Executive Support officer, you will have exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills with a high degree of discretion, sensitivity and experience of working in a trusted position handling highly confidential information. Additionally, you will have the ability to develop strong working relationships both within your directors areas and with colleagues within the wider directorate.
The Executive Support Officer will provide a broad range of supporting duties including the organisation of a range of complex activities ensuring that their director is fully briefed and prepared on all matters pertaining to their respective responsibilities in order to deliver their individual objectives as part of the wider corporate agenda; as well as any responsibilities in respect of NHS relationship activities they may participate in across local, regional or national levels.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to take responsibility and think independently, respond to sudden unexpected demands and use autonomous judgment and initiative to provide day-to-day support for their directors including: complex diary management, management of all correspondence received by their director, using initiative to respond in the most appropriate way, drafting and / or proof reading papers and ensuring plans are in place to ensure both your own and your director's deadlines are met, as well as providing support and attending meetings chaired by their directors.

Qualifications / Knowledge
* Educated to degree level/or equivalent experience in business administration
* Advance Keyboard skills and experience of typing from dictation / audio typing
* Proactive approach and able to identify and suggest areas where improvements or developments can be made based on feedback or intuition
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience
* A minimum of three years providing high-level, efficient Business Support within a corporate environment.
* Experience of complex diary and email management, being able to proactively manage and coordinate conflicting priorities, using initiative based on knowledge and understanding of your director[s] objectives and priorities.
* Experience of supporting director level meetings including production of minutes.
* Experience of supporting an Executive / Board Director level position.
