Site Manager – Water Infrastructure Projects

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team, leading the safe and efficient delivery of water and waste water infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while promoting a zero-harm safety culture.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining a collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full project responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of water infrastructure projects.
* Lead and promote a zero-harm safety culture, ensuring all site activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
* Champion an industry-leading behavioural culture, driving best practices across the site.
* Ensure right-first-time delivery by following Morrison Water Services Business Management Systems and processes.
* Develop, review, and manage RAMS, method statements, task briefings, toolbox talks (TBTs), non-conformance reports (NCRs), permits, and temporary works.
* Manage engineers, supervisors, customers, and the public impacted by construction activities.
* Oversee labour, plant, and materials to optimise resource allocation.
* Develop and implement Project Management Plans, including environmental, quality, safety, health, and well being aspects.
* Build and lead collaborative project teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
* Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
* Drive company initiatives, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient project completion that meets client and customer expectations.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and staff coaching on construction techniques and safe working practices.
* Ensure accurate document control and design management for the project.
* Close out actions from internal and external audits in a timely manner.
* Carry out 6 audits and report safety observations to improve site performance.
* Obtain all necessary permits and approvals for construction activities, ensuring compliance with MWS, client, regulatory, and industry standards.
* Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders, covering progress, challenges, and any changes to scope or budget.
* Ensure all mandatory training is completed and maintained according to role requirements.
* Participate in investigations and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in Construction Management or Engineering.
* Experience in water or waste water infrastructure projects.
* Strong cost control and value management skills.
* Proven ability to manage project schedules effectively.
* SMSTS certification.
* CSCS Black Card.
* Recognised Health & Safety certification such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
* Understanding of Temporary Works requirements.
