We are currently seeking a dynamic Advanced Data Analyst to join our team. Your analytical expertise will be crucial in identifying solutions to improve healthcare processes and drive quality within our team. You will provide expert informatics advice and guidance for analytics projects, ensuring that systems and services are developed and implemented in line with national data definitions and standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To support the Head of Data and Analytics in the delivery of advanced analytics to the organisation utilising existing traditional descriptive analytical tools and techniques as well as new and emerging business intelligence, modelling and data science tools and principles.
To support the provision of a comprehensive enterprise-wide information service which ensures seamless access to a wide range of the highest quality information that is made available for all internal and external reporting requirements.
Ensuring all internal project milestones are reached and that products meet the agreed stakeholder requirements and specifications.
Working as part of the Senior Management Team, contribute to the development, management, and success of the Directorate.
The post holder is required to act independently interpreting advanced analytical requirements from stakeholders and how they relate to and impact on local and national guidelines.

4. Educated to Masters Level or equivalent experience within the field of Analytics
5. Evidence of further development and or education and training
6. Modelling and other advanced analytical techniques
7. Understanding of strategic informatics issues within a healthcare environment and current priorities for NHS Wales
8. Knowledge of information requirements and standards within a healthcare environment
Desirable
9. Service/Quality Improvement qualification
Experience

10. Experience within a Health Informatics environment
11. Experience of statistical analysis of complex information including the use of advanced statistical packages and tools (, R, Python)
12. Experience of working with large data warehouses or/and big data platforms utilising a number of data sources and ETL processes
13. Experience of communicating complex issues and data concepts to a range of people
14. Previous experience of using a structured project management approach to deliver projects within timescales

15. Experience of NLP, AI, and Machine Learning
16. Experience of developing advanced health care models (DES, Mote Carlo, system dynamics, etc.)

17. Advanced IT and analytical skills. Advanced knowledge of IT tools/systems such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI and other BI tools and web technologies
