The Clinical Research Imaging Facility (CRIF) is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Imaging Manager to this exciting leadership role.
The Senior Research Imaging Manager is responsible for the leadership of a team of NHS radiographers and other members of the multidisciplinary team for the delivery of world-class research and high-quality clinical services to the University of Dundee and NHS Tayside.
They are responsible for all aspects of the service, from supervision of staff to interpreting and developing complex imaging protocols and the overall business development and budgetary management of CRIF. They will also be expected to contribute to the senior management team of TASC and link closely with Imaging Services in NHS Tayside.
The CRIF is an integrated specialist imaging unit within the University of Dundee, staffed by the NHS and based at Ninewells Hospital, which is equipped to support the delivery of high-quality research and NHS clinical services. It has state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment which includes CT and MRI scanners.
The recent addition of a GE Apex Elite CT scanner and MR-guided Focused Ultrasound neuro-treatment system has further developed our research potential, particularly in relation to image-guided therapies research.
The successful candidate will be registered with the Healthcare Professions Council and will have extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging. They will have a proven track record of managing professional staff, be well-organised, and will have good communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to motivate and lead staff. The ability to work across different imaging modalities and interpret and coordinate research protocols are essential.
You will be employed by NHS Tayside. Hours of work are: 37 per week. AFC terms and conditions.
