Data Manager required for our Education client in Huddersfield.

Data Manager Responsibilities:
1. Support the Assistant Principal - Curriculum, Assessment and Raising Standards in delivering high quality business intelligence and management information.
2. Development and maintenance of Schools Information Management System (SIMS), Assessment Manager, SISRA, and other software to provide tracking, monitoring, and analysis to teachers, Faculty Leaders, and the Senior Leadership Team.
3. Maintain an accurate database of assessment information, monitoring the submission of relevant data by staff in accordance with the assessment calendar.
4. Design, develop, and produce complex marksheets and report templates.
5. Ensure Senior Leadership Team, Faculty Leaders, and other staff receive accurate and timely analyses and reports relating to College and student performance.
6. Provide accurate data and information to support the SEF (School Self-Evaluation Form) and SIP (School Improvement Plan).
7. Produce detailed tabular and graphical analysis of internal student assessment data and external examination results.
8. Ensure relevant targets are set for all pupils and produce and distribute target information.
9. Design and produce reports illustrating trends in College data.
10. Maintain awareness of changes to DfE (Department for Education) accountability measures, curriculum updates, and developments in the use of data.
11. Monitor and supervise the use of SIMS Assessment, SISRA, FFT (Fischer Family Trust) and other software by staff.
12. Provide administration support for intervention strategies of key groups.
13. Input and maintain accurate student data held in SIMS.
14. Produce and submit termly School Census to the DfE and other statistical government returns.
15. Perform start and end of year routines in line with the SIMS Yearbook.
16. Develop, maintain, and administer the College's reward and behaviour tracking systems.
17. Support the College admissions process.
18. Maintain awareness of SIMS updates and training.
19. Ensure all data is kept secure and fulfills the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
20. Perform student curriculum assignment and updating course memberships.
21. Maintain and update the Duty Rota, C3 Detention Rota, and any other rotas as necessary.
22. Produce and maintain documentation relating to the Curriculum and Timetable.
23. Responsible for SIMS Options Online and the maintenance of ClassCharts.
24. Update and maintain records accessible to parents via the Parent App.
25. Produce marketing and communication materials for internal and external use.
26. Allocate and maintain user accounts for online services.
27. Contribute to in-house training as required.
28. Support staff in the use of SIMS and in their adherence to data protection regulations.
29. Deal with student, staff, parental, and outside agency requests and enquiries.
Data Manager Criteria:
1. Experience of using IT systems for inputting, retrieving, and analysing data.
2. Experience in the use of School Management Information System (SIMS), SISRA, or other school data systems.
3. Experience of the manipulation and checking of large data sets.
4. Qualification in IT, Business or Information Studies or equivalent experience.
5. Ability to bring high levels of precision and speed to tasks.
6. Knowledge of school curriculum and timetables in relation to Government and Local Authority data sources.
7. Knowledge of legislation and good practice about data confidentiality and data protection.
8. Experience of problem solving and evaluating information.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
10. A high level of technical skill in dealing with database queries and development of systems.
11. Ability to present analysed and performance information to a high level of quality.
