Science and Safety Technician (2 positions available Full time and Part time)
Permanent, working 37 or 30 hrs per week. Hours per week negotiable, term time only plus 6 inset days.
Salary: Grade 4 £24,790 to £25,183 per annum pro rata
Actual Salary for 37 Hours £21,527 to £21,868 per annum
Actual salary for 30 hours £17,454 to £17,731 per annum

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Science and Safety Technicians to join our friendly and well-established science department. Working within a newly refurbished Science Department, you will have a network of support throughout the trust. There are multiple opportunities to get involved in our exciting extracurricular science-based events such as our forensic and robotics days.
This is a multi-faceted, diverse and fulfilling role which entails classroom and technical support within the science department. The Ideal candidate will have a passion and background in science. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Candidates must have the following:
1. Good numeracy and literacy skills
2. Understanding and ability to use relevant equipment, as well as understanding of COSHH
3. Ability to work cohesively within a team
4. Ability to communicate and relate well with adults and children.
