Role Overview: As the Quality Manager for Packaging, you will oversee and manage the overall quality control processes in the packaging department. Your key responsibility will be ensuring that all packaging products meet the required standards, specifications, and customer expectations while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the packaging quality management system (QMS) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards. Perform audits and inspections of packaging materials, processes, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve any quality-related issues or deviations in packaging. Provide technical support and training to the packaging team to maintain high-quality standards and awareness of best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the packaging department to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Manage and maintain product testing protocols and ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date. Act as a key point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints regarding packaging quality, working to resolve issues promptly. Monitor and report key quality metrics to senior management, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Qualifications: Qualifications in Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in quality management within the packaging or manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, FDA regulations, etc.). Strong understanding of quality control methods, tools, and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC, root cause analysis). Experience with quality auditing, inspections, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office and quality management software. Desirable: Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor).
