Role Description
Job Purpose:
The jobholder has site responsibility for day to day management of the Engineer, Production and Syrup Room departments in Glasgow in the production of Own Label and Branded canned carbonated products on 1 production line. The role has 24 hour responsibility for the site, the direct manager being based in Bradford.
Dimensions:

2. 3 x Production Supervisor, 1 Engineering co-ordinator and 1 Syrup Room supervisor all based in Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the entire site as the Factory Manager is based in Bradford.
2. Responsible for Engineering, Production and Syrup Room. Working closely with the Supervisors and co-ordinators in these departments to build a strong team.
3. Lead the Health & Safety agenda on the site by implementing and adhering to behavioural safety techniques.
4. Ensure Environmental KPI’s are managed and met (including permit levels, COD etc).
5. Operate within and work to improve the Princes Operational System on site.
6. Effective cost leadership through budget setting, controlling and reporting of labour and waste numbers.
7. Maintain clear communication channels with colleagues at the Bradford factory and RLB.
8. Create and adhere to the site's planned maintenance system, identifying areas for improvement.
9. Lead the teams through effective communication and implementation of the New Princes Values.
10. Ensure that all customer and external audits are achieved, including BRC accreditation, BSI and BSC, ISO, Tesco etc.
11. Continually look for opportunities to improve performance in all activities, by identifying projects at site that will deliver.
12. Reduce waste through good maintenance, reporting and corrective actions.
13. Control and support Contractors working on site ensuring adherence to site policies and procedures.
14. Operate “clean as you go system” and hand back all operational areas clear of tools, spares, cleaning and scrap materials upon completion of maintenance activity.
15. Promote and execute QCDSP, CI and 5’S processes.
16. Undertake other reasonable duties, as required to meet the needs of the business.
17. Deputise for the Factory Manager as and when required.
To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.
