Emotional and Mental Health Support - Maidenhead
Are you an individual who is passionate about supporting children with their mental health needs?
A rewarding position has become available for an Emotional and Mental Health support worker to work in a school in Ascot. This is an excellent position to gain valuable experience while making a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
These students struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and various other mood disorders. They need someone who can facilitate a positive and safe environment for them to learn and grow.
As a mental health assistant, you will be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health. Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Supporting and shadowing the class teacher.
2. Providing 1:1 support for the SEN students.
3. Helping run engaging lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place.
4. Managing behavior as required.
The role would suit someone who is resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs. This is a great opportunity for aspiring psychologists, social workers, therapists, and counselors.
Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art, or drama will also have an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will be considered.
