About the Role:
FJR Group are seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our clients central BI Team. In this role, you will:
* Consolidate and Upgrade Reporting Infrastructure: Transition over 500 unique reports into streamlined, filterable Power BI dashboards, enhancing data accessibility and decision-making processes.
* Develop Power BI Reports: Utilise your expertise in DAX, MySQL, and Databricks SQL to create insightful, high-performance reports tailored to meet the diverse needs of various departments.
* Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with stakeholders to design accessible, interactive reports that empower teams with reliable insights, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.
* Ensure Data Security and Real-Time Updates: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI to control data access and set up scheduling protocols to guarantee real-time report updates.
* Test and Refine Datasets: Collaborate with the BI Manager to test and refine datasets within their new data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
* Maintain Report Structures: Work alongside the Senior BI Analyst to review and maintain the structure of existing BI reports, including managing workspaces, apps, permissions, and formats to ensure consistency and ease of use.
About You:
You are passionate about data and possess:
* Technical Proficiency: intermediate Power BI skills, including RLS, Data Modelling, DAX, and management of Workspaces and Apps.
* Analytical Mindset: Ability to understand data, analyse trends, and ensure accuracy in reporting.
* Effective Communication: Strong skills in presenting findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
* Proactive Approach: Self-reliant and inquisitive, with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the BI Manager and Team to gather requirements and develop Power BI reports, replacing over 300 Excel reports.
* Test and refine datasets within the current Data Warehouse project.
* Review and maintain the structure of existing BI reports, including Workspaces, Apps, Permissions, and Formats.
* Assist in defining Data Warehouse requirements and testing delivered data for year-over-year reporting.
This is an office-based role at our clients Head Office in Barton-upon-Humber, with working hours from Monday to Friday.
