Behaviour Mentor/Support Assistant

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm

About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor/Support Assistants to join an amazing team in Croydon, supporting children aged 7 to 14 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with students, helping to manage their behaviour, develop positive coping strategies, and foster a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to children with SEMH needs, ensuring a safe and positive school experience
* Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
* Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement individualized support plans
* Act as a mentor to students, encouraging their social and emotional development
* Support academic and personal growth through one-on-one and small group activities
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, particularly working with SEMH students
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
* Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
* Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students
