Job Title: Senior Supply Planner S&OE (Sales and Operations Execution) Location: Cambridge Department: Central Supply Chain Planning Job Type: Full time Job Overview: The Senior Supply Planner S&OE is responsible for managing and executing the supply planning process in alignment with the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) framework. This role ensures optimal inventory management, production scheduling, and demand alignment, while mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions. The Senior Planner collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Key Responsibilities: Supply Planning & Execution: Execute the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process by ensuring alignment of supply capabilities with demand and sales forecasts. Proactively address supply issues (e.g., shortages, delays) and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them quickly. Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with demand planners, production teams, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate supply planning. Communicate potential supply issues or constraints to key stakeholders and suggest corrective actions. Participate in S&OE meetings, presenting supply planning updates and highlighting any risks or concerns related to supply fulfillment. Provide input into the development of inventory strategies and recommend safety stock levels based on demand variability and lead times. Inventory Optimization: Track inventory levels to ensure efficient use of resources and avoid overstock or stockouts. Analyze inventory trends, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend strategies to improve service levels and reduce excess inventory. Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and increased supply chain efficiency. Reporting & Analysis: Generate supply and inventory reports to track performance against key metrics, such as fill rates, market on-time delivery, and inventory turns. Identify stock risks in the 0-3 mth period and work with suppliers to pull orders forward. Create and maintain dashboards to visualize supply planning performance. Risk Management & Problem Resolution: Identify risks in the supply chain and work proactively to mitigate these risks. Troubleshoot and resolve any supply issues that arise, including production delays, transportation disruptions, or vendor-related challenges. Develop contingency plans for key supply risks to ensure business continuity. Experience: Demonstrable experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or inventory management, with a strong focus on S&OE processes. Proven experience in managing supply chain activities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Anaplan or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of demand and supply forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in supply chain optimization tools and techniques. Preferred Skills: Experience in global supply chains or working with international vendors. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
