Position
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Domestic Supervisor at Biggart Hospital.
What you will do:
You will provide a wide and varied range of Domestic Services which support Clinical Services throughout Ayrshire and Arran in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification to fulfil Healthcare Environment Inspectorate Standards and meet Facilities Monitoring Tool Targets.
Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and good communication skills are essential.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will have good communication, verbal or otherwise and practical skills.
You will be rquired to attend Corporate Induction including completion of Mandatory Learn Pro Modules. You will undertake departmental job training including the operation of equipment and safe use of cleaning materials which allows flexibility within all areas of Domestic Services and is also required to be proficient in and undertake training in the following:
1. Safe Systems of Work/Work Schedules
2. Departmental Risk Assessments (COSHH, General, Moving and Handling)
3. Codes of Practice/Infection Control Guidelines
4. Correct and economical use of materials and equipment
5. Use of PPE
6. Waste Management
7. Linen Bagging Policy
8. Security Procedures
9. Datix
10. Job Shadowing (usually first week)
POLICIES (Awareness covered at Department JobTraining)
11. Domestic Services Core Value Statement
12. Organisational Policies
13. Caldicott Guidelines (confidentiality)
14. Healthcare Support Worker Standards/Domestic Services Workbook
15. Domestic Services Workbook HCSW sections completed within 6 months of commencement
Thereafter completion of remaining sections of Domestic Services Workbook
