The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Children's Mental Health Support Worker to provide tailored emotional and mental health support to pupils with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD. Working closely with teachers, parents, and the SENCO, you will play a key role in helping children thrive both academically and personally. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

2. Develop and implement wellbeing plans in collaboration with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and pastoral team.
3. Promote positive mental health through workshops, activities, and classroom interventions.
4. Act as a trusted point of contact for pupils, offering a safe space to talk and build coping strategies.
5. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals (e.g. CAMHS) to ensure a holistic approach to each child's care.
6. Maintain accurate records and monitor the progress of interventions.
What we are looking for
1. Knowledge of common mental health issues affecting children and young people and strategies to support them.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, staff, and families.
3. Ideally experience working with children or young people in a mental health, education, or care setting (not mandatory).
4. A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature, with a passion for improving young lives.
