We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to a growing contractor based in Stoke On trent. My client delivers high-quality projects in the Industrial & Commercial sector. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote safe work practices, and foster a culture of safety on-site. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop, implement, and review safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors on health and safety best practices. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, advising the team on necessary changes. Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. Experience in a construction environment or a related field. Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
