We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEO Manager to join our talented team in Southampton, responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to enhance our digital presence.
The Opportunity
Operating within a dynamic, fast-moving industry, as SEO Manager you will take ownership of implementing best in class SEO strategies to enhance our digital presence in line with business objectives.
Reporting to our Head Of Marketing you will be responsible for our on page, off page and technical SEO strategies, whilst working closely with our website developers to ensure a fully optimised digital presence with a focus on ROI.
* Develop and implement a long-term SEO strategy that aligns with the company’s goals. Set measurable objectives for organic growth, conversions, and overall website performance.
* Perform comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value opportunities. Analyse competitors’ SEO strategies to benchmark and refine the company’s approach.
* Ensure website structure, URL hierarchy, and navigation are optimised for search engines. Identify and fix technical issues such as broken links, crawl errors, and site speed problems.
* Optimise meta tags, headers, alt text, and other on-page elements for targeted keywords. Enhance content readability and user engagement while adhering to SEO best practices.
* Develop and manage a sustainable backlink strategy, including outreach and partnerships. Conduct regular backlink audits to ensure the health and quality of the link profile.
* Work with wider marketing team to create SEO-optimised blog posts, landing pages, and website copy. Ensure content aligns with keyword strategies and resonates with target audiences.
* Monitor and analyse SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Prepare regular reports on traffic, rankings, click-through rates, and conversion rates. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.
* Stay informed about changes in search engine algorithms and industry best practices. Adapt strategies to ensure compliance with search engine guidelines.
* Collaboration with website developers.

* Proven experience in a similar SEO-focused role.
* Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
* Proficiency with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz or SEOWind.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working with CMS platforms.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
