Description Enrolment Officer The full-time starting salary is normally £30,855.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £33,540.00 per annum. Grade: S6 Full time - 12 Months Fixed Term The UKVI Compliance Team is looking to recruit an Enrolment Officer to support the co-ordination and operational tasks associated with enrolment within our small but busy team. You will report directly to the Head of UKVI Compliance and work closely with the other UKVI Compliance Officers, as well as staff across the University. You will be providing a range of proactive administrative support relating to the enrolment of students at Birmingham City University. No two days will be the same, as you turn your hand to dealing with e-Visa, conducting Right to Study Checks to supporting international students through the enrolment process. In addition, you will be required answering email queries and liaise with staff across a range of central and faculty based departments. You'll be expected to work on your own initiative, to maintain high standards of administration and resolve issues in a swift, calm manner. With the support of the wider team you will: Play an active role in the organisation and delivery of enrolment sessions across the academic year. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the UKVI Compliance team. Review and monitor record keeping systems and processes Contribute to projects relevant to own expertise. Assist and support with data audits. Demonstrate a meticulous eye for detail in all tasks You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) coupled with proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment. You will need to have excellent IT skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). And whilst it's not essential, any experience of UKVI compliance administration and dealing with international students is desirable. Additionally, as important, is your willingness to learn and apply yourself, your drive to deliver superb customer service to stakeholders across the University and your exceptional communication skills. Beyond that, your ability to act as a team player, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, to manage your workload and your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be what sets you apart.
