We are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on management team with a positive outlook and great people skills. The onsite managers position is for an experienced couple to cater for a Park with a majority of annual site licence holders along with significant tourism providing en-suite cabins, villas, powered sites and unpowered sites. One of you will have strengths in the office and the other will be strong in grounds and handy person skills to carry out maintenance tasks.
The park is community owned and operated and is an easy one and a half hour drive from Adelaide on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.
A generous contract package will be negotiated with the successful candidates including a modern three-bedroom Manager’s residence.
Grounds Maintenance will include
1. Parks organisation and management of the out of hours responsibilities
2. Maintenance of Park Buildings and Infrastructure
3. Completion of groundskeeping tasks to ensure a high standard is maintained throughout the park including:
1. Mowing of lawns and maintaining the dolomite sites
2. Painting cabins and villas
3. Managing the rubbish, etc.
4. Managing the fire safety regulations in the park
Reception and Administration
1. Reception duties, answer the phone, online enquiries and emails in a friendly and courteous manner.
2. Accurately manage the reservation system using RMS Cloud, process deposit information and provide guests with information and correspondence confirming reservations.
3. Manage Facebook page, website and other tourist platforms as required.
4. Monthly reporting and data management.
5. Work within Budget guidelines.
Park Management
1. Manage Park operations and arrange at own cost relief managers when going on Annual leave or any other absence from the park.
2. Ensure smooth operation of the park by managing issues as they arise.
3. Deliver proactive problem-solving solutions and outcomes.
4. Manage Parks maintenance and capital works as agreed by the Committee.
5. Managing the Parks Security.
6. Assist annual site licence holders and guests as required.
7. Cleaning of rooms, ensuites, villas, powered and unpowered sites as well as the amenities.
8. Managing the laundry some of which is sent offsite to be laundered.
9. Servicing rooms in a timely manner.
10. Innovative business development ideas.
Essential Skills
1. Good customer service and communication skills.
2. Competent handyperson and office skills.
3. Physically fit.
4. Willingness to learn and to take direction.
5. Sound understanding of business fundamentals.
6. Computer literate with RMS or similar.
7. Tourist Park experience is preferred but not essential if you meet the other criteria.
These are both ‘hands on’ roles, as managers of our park you will both be required to personally undertake the full range of Park tasks.
The successful applicants must have:
1. A current police clearance including working with children, aged and vulnerable people.
2. A first aid certificate.
3. Drivers licence.
4. Community minded.
