What we are expecting from you - Manage the team day to day, driving a culture of engagement, conducting return to work interviews, disciplinary meetings, employee development and performance reviews. - To ensure products of excellent quality are manufactured in a safe environment, whist meeting output levels defined and ensuring high levels of customer service from the area owned. - Day to day management of the area through reviews, start of shift meetings and day by the hour monitoring to make data driven decisions. - Use lean tools (10 step problem solving, A3's etc) to proactively resolve challenges and drive continuous improvements in the value stream. - Direct and coordinate staffing resources in value stream to meet productivity targets. - Develop and train standard work instructions and risk assessments in value stream. Who we are looking for - Experience of effective problem solving and lean manufacturing. - Results driven and customer focused. - Experience of effectively managing a team. - A data driven mindset and ability to make decisions. - Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Ideally, you will also have - Strong time management and prioritization skills. - Bachelors degree or professional qualification equivalent, ideally with a business or engineering focus. - Awareness of employment law and health & safety legislation.
