Administrative Business Support Officer Job Type: Temporary, Full-time Location: Wakefield, WF1 1JR Duration: Initial 2 months Pay: £12.85 per hour We are seeking an Administrative Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to Service Managers and other senior management. This role involves a variety of tasks including data entry, diary management, and handling confidential correspondence. The ideal candidate will be a central point of contact for managers, handling inquiries and managing communications with professionalism and discretion. Day-to-day of the role: Provide a range of administrative tasks including typing, diary management, photocopying, and producing correspondence. Coordinate the Service Manager’s electronic calendar and process confidential correspondence. Act as the first point of contact for the Service Manager, handling routine enquiries and requests for information. Contribute to the maintenance of effective communication systems, ensuring accurate message relay to all levels of colleagues and the public. Assist in the administration of financial tasks such as ordering goods and services, processing invoices, and managing petty cash. Arrange and prepare for meetings and conferences, including room bookings, agenda preparation, and minute taking. Maintain accurate data recording and storage within electronic and manual systems. Support the operation of electronic systems and contribute to the implementation of new technology. Develop and update tracking systems and ensure daily handling of post and information distribution. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a public sector or similar environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic data management systems.
