Salary:
From £55,000 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:
You will support BAES-SM production of the safety Build Assurance Justification
Be able to review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE and ensure that the platform is being built to design intent
You will liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent
Play a key part in acting as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees
You will help to provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups
Your skills and experiences:
Be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels
You will have gained programme management experience
Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems
You will have gained good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures
Hold a degree within a STEM subject

The Safety Team:
The Dreadnought Alliance is a collaboration between Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems (BAES) and the Ministry of Defence to deliver the ‘Dreadnought Class SSBN’ programme.
The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD). This post is part of the Joint Design Authority within the Dreadnought Alliance, which is the Platform & Whole Boat Design Authority for Dreadnought, structured around the Alliance Project Team engineering team and BAES Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) team.
