About The Role Come Join Our Team We have an excellent opportunity for a femalesupport worker to work alongside our client in St. Austell, Cornwall. Our client is a lady in her 30's who has complex needs, including an acquired brain injury, partial blindness, neurofibromatosis, some cognitive difficulty and chronic fatigue. She lives at home with her partner and their dog (who is in guide dog training) and enjoys audiobooks, dog walks on the beach, going out for coffee and is developing an interest in extreme sports. They are also building a treatment room in the garden for physio and relaxation therapies. Due to the client's support needs the successful candidate will need to be female, have some experience working with complex needs/brain injury, have a full UK driving licence, be flexible in approach and work with what then client states she needs support with and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship. Pay: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour Hours: Bank (likely shifts to cover, Monday - Friday 7 hours per day) Key Responsibilities: The Libertatem Healthcare Group (part of Sonderwell) was established to provide the very best levels of care and support for clients who have sustained personal injuries or suffered from medical negligence. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions. Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements: A genuine passion for working with people and providing care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Reliability, commitment, and flexibility. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care. To be able to deal with challenging behaviours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
