Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to be part of an innovative therapy team, offering evidence-based therapies for more complex emotional difficulties in Primary Care, amongst highly motivated and supportive colleagues?
If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 CBT Therapist (Personality Disorder) to join the Lewisham Integrated Therapies Team (LIT).
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, flexible and compassionate clinician to join the CBT pathway in Lewisham Integrated Therapies (LIT), providing assessments and time limited, evidence-based treatments for complex emotional difficulties, and offering supervision and guidance to supervisees, the LIT team and allied colleagues.
The LIT Team is an innovative service comprising Clinical/Counselling psychologists, CBT practitioners, Psychotherapists, Clinical Associate Psychologists and trainees.
We are committed toa culture that values the use of goal-oriented, time-limited and focused interventions and the use of outcome measures and patient feedback as a way of evaluating progress. We are a multi-orientation therapy team that is not organised around diagnoses – our focus is on understanding what the patient brings, and working together on a care-plan that draws upon a range of therapeutic options, often in partnership with allied services.
There is a strong focus on further developing clinical skills and learning from each other. There are opportunities to receive supervision from centres of excellence such as the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma. There are many opportunities for CPD within the team and across SL&M. Recently this has included EMDR, Trauma-informed care and schema-informed CBT. We also offer clinical placements to therapists in training and have strong links with the IoPPN and Metanoia Institute, amongst others.
Working in a diverse area such as Lewisham, you will have the privilege of working with a wide range of presentations, and working creatively in partnership with neighbourhood teams and community organisations. We welcome applicants with experience in working with a diverse population and a desire to reach out to under-represented groups.
This role would suit someone who has completed the PG cert in CBT for Personality Disorder, who is keen to develop their own skills, and has a good understanding of working with complexity in Primary Care.
