Administration Support for Head of Catering, Contracts and Performance

An exciting opportunity for a friendly, positive thinking, organised and motivated individual to provide administrative support within the Trust's Hotel Services Catering, Contracts & Performance Team. The opportunity is fixed term to cover maternity leave until 14 November 2025.
As this post is to cover maternity leave you should be highly motivated and able to 'hit the ground running' as well as being reliable, flexible, and able to work on your own initiative while being a team player.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. The Catering, Contracts and Performance Team is responsible for the Trust's Catering Services and also manages the contracts within Hotel Services, as well as providing performance data reports for the department as a whole.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide support to the Head of Catering, Contracts & Performance and the team. Duties will include:
1. Support for the planning and production of trust-wide menus
2. Assist in the writing of contract tenders
3. Management of calendars and emails
4. Organisation and minuting of a variety of meetings including the production and distribution of KPI reports
5. Maintaining action logs and in-house financial records
6. Dealing with incoming phone calls and providing general administrative support
Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential, as well as the necessity to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Applicants should hold NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration. Sound IT knowledge and experience, with competency in Microsoft Office packages, the ability to communicate effectively, and good organisational skills and attention to detail are requirements of the role.
This is a demanding role and as such, applicants should be able to work under pressure when required.
The post holder will be based at Acklam Road Hospital in Middlesbrough, and this is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Qualification and Experience
* NVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
* ECDL Level 1 & 2 or equivalent
* Experience of providing administrative support
* Experience of Microsoft Office software packages
Skills & Knowledge
* Ability to communicate face to face and by telephone in a helpful manner
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
* Accurate keyboard, typing, and word processing skills
* Natural aptitude with figures
* Experience of providing admin support in contract management
