We are seeking an Education Support Worker to join our team at Five Education in Plymouth. This rewarding role will see you working closely with children and young people, helping them to reach their full potential in a school environment.
The individuals we support have been identified as requiring additional help due to Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/or mental health challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the children and young people in your care.
* Encouraging independence, self-confidence and self-esteem through active participation and engagement in learning activities.
* Supporting the development of social skills, emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, other support staff and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for each child.
This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role that requires a great deal of patience, understanding and empathy. If you have experience of working with children with SEN or have a passion for supporting vulnerable young people, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position paying £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
