Field Service Engineer
Our partner is a well-established and privately owned company with a strong foundation built since the early 2000s. They are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team as we continue to grow. This role involves diverse and dynamic work, including travel across the UK, with all necessary transportation and accommodation provided. Familiarity with process plant operations, as well as experience with equipment such as rotating machinery, pumps, centrifuges, and presses, is a plus; however, comprehensive training will be offered.
We're seeking a Service Engineer who is self-driven, highly organised and dependable, with a keen interest in learning and professional development.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, operate, and maintain mobile processing equipment.
2. Perform service contracts and mechanical repairs on customer-installed plants.
3. Conduct equipment servicing and installations both on-site and at the workshop, with occasional travel abroad.
4. Support the sales team by assisting with customer visits and providing technical insights.
5. Supervise subcontractors, provide training, and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements for service tasks.
Requirements:
1. Set up, operate, and maintain various types of mobile processing equipment.
2. Perform service contracts for customers' existing plant installations.
3. Conduct mechanical repairs and handle workshop maintenance needs.
4. Travel extensively as required.
5. Handle equipment servicing and installations at the company's workshop.
6. Support the sales team with customer site visits.
7. Oversee and train subcontractors on-site.
8. Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements before starting service tasks.
9. Participate in an on-call rotation with occasional weekend work.
What this is offering:
1. Salary of £45,000pa to £50,000pa (depending on experience)
