SEND Teacher Job Type: Temporary (March - June) Location: Milton Keynes Hours - Full time We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join my clients school team for a temporary position from March to June. This role involves working with a 6th form secondary class, providing specialised support and fostering a positive learning environment. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences tailored to special educational needs. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives specific to SEND students. Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback. Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and enforce school rules. Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in a similar role within a secondary or special education setting. Strong understanding of the specific needs of SEND students. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Good organisational and time-management skills.
