The Role
Our client's busy Residential Property team now have an opportunity for an experienced Solicitor or Conveyancer interested in a job share arrangement. Ideally, they are looking for the job share arrangement to provide the equivalent of 1FTE with this position offering work for two and half days per week, in their Luton office. You will share responsibility with another Solicitor to manage a joint caseload and coordinate work plans, ensuring a smooth transition each week. If you are hardworking with strong client care skills, have the ability to develop client relationships and able to work independently and within a team, then this might be the right opportunity for you.
As a member of the fee earning team responsibilities will include:
Development of a client portfolio by utilising good marketing skills, social media and networking opportunities, including internal cross referrals
Dealing with client work including property sales, purchases, leases, shared ownership and probate sales, providing advice in writing, over the phone or during meetings, maintaining accurate records and meeting notes.
Ensuring appropriate searches are completed and also any Land Registry entries
Adherence to compliance policies and procedures
Working within CQS requirements
Management of client expectations
Management of risk
Dealing with new enquiries
Case and file management
Supporting in the development of other team members
Participation in CPD
Support in marketing initiatives including participation in the delivery of webinars and podcasts
Participation in charity and networking events
The Candidate
Experience of working in conveyancing
Personal pride in the quality of their work which should be to a high standard
Able to manage client expectations
Knowledge of the requirements of Lexcel and CQS
Strong communication skills both in writing and orally with a wide range of people
IT literate (including the use of case management systems, MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
Self-motivated and able to perform to targets
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
Efficiency, reliability and flexibility
Excellent file management skills with good time management skills
The Terms
This role is being offered as one half of a job share and would require (19 hours) 2.5 days, in our clients lovely Luton offices. Our client is a respected local employer who are growing, they offer:
