Job Purpose:
The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of a key infrastructure project. This involves ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The role primarily focuses on earthworks, civil engineering, and water treatment works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee the successful delivery of site operations, managing resources effectively and maintaining the project programme.
* Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote and ensure compliance with all relevant HSE policies and regulations, creating a safe working environment for all site personnel.
* Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate the on-site team, including subcontractors and direct staff, ensuring high standards of work and cooperation.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that work meets the required quality standards and is completed in accordance with project specifications and design documents.
* Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the client, managing expectations and ensuring excellent communication throughout the project.
* Temporary Works Coordination: Oversee temporary works on-site, ensuring proper procedures are in place and followed.
* Document Management: Prepare and maintain site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, daily site records, and progress reports.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience managing earthworks, civil engineering, or water treatment projects.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
* Black CSCS Card (Management level).
* Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) Certification.
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and quality management processes.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Competent in IT systems and project reporting tools
