We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to work on a permanent basis near Ashton-Under-Lyne. Our client is either looking for an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer looking to take that next time in their career into a Quality Manager role. Ideally you will have experience of working to AS9100 standards/working within the Aerospace sector. Salary and Benefits: Salary is c£45-50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension, healthcare, bonus etc. Duties/Experience for the Quality Manager role: Take ownership of and oversee key quality performance indicators at the highest level. Manage team recruitment, training, and ongoing development. Maintain and ensure retention of certifications, including NADCAP Special Process (Measurement and Inspection), EN9100/ISO9001, ISO14001, and approvals from customers/OEMs. Oversee and conduct internal, external, and supplier audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, from idea generation to implementation. Identify and implement best practices and emerging technologies discovered during customer interactions, supplier visits, and research. Perform quality evaluations and approvals during the customer inquiry phase. Assess and review engineering processes for new product introductions (NPI). Deliver quality induction sessions for all new employees. Conduct quality control training and maintain an up-to-date Skills Matrix to ensure staff operate safely, efficiently, and effectively. Present monthly quality and non-conformance report analyses to the senior management team and ensure the MRB process is functioning effectively. Oversee the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Process Confirmation action tracker. Key skills for the Quality Manager: Demonstrated success in quality management and leadership roles. Strong knowledge of processes, detailed engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Experience in managing teams, fostering staff development, and providing mentorship. Ability to establish, uphold, and enhance quality standards across all departments. Exceptional resilience, confidence, and professionalism. Excellent communication skills are essential. A collaborative team player with a proactive and motivated mindset. Proven ability to anticipate and address client needs while managing delivery risks effectively.
