The France Accounting Manager is the subject matter expert for France and is responsible for ensuring that the accounting records for Talogy (France) SAS are recorded accurately and in time, ensuring the management team have precise information enabling them to make appropriate decisions about the business. They ensure that the business operates in accordance with the purchasing and expense policy set out by Talogy and that all statutory accounting and tax returns are accurate, filed and settled on time, ensuring that Talogy remains compliant with all of its legal, tax and accounting obligations.
This role is a full-time permanent position based in the UK, 0900-1730, Monday to Friday. This role can be performed remotely.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities of Talogy (France) SAS.
* Ensuring all accounting information is submitted into our accounting system accurately and all deadlines for submission are met.
* Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset and intangible asset registers as well as similar accounting entries.
* To provide documentary evidence to support the accounting system each month, including balance sheet reconciliations for all nominal accounts on SharePoint so that this evidence is available when it is needed.
* Manage the Talogy (France) SAS audit and provide requested deliverables for the year-end audit, providing our auditors with the information they request in line with agreed timelines.
* Manage the Talogy (France) SAS tax compliance ensuring taxes are filed and settled on time.
* To ensure VAT returns and Payroll Tax reports are filed accurately and on time and that all liabilities are settled in accordance with statutory deadlines.
* Provide and communicate relevant information to the business on an ad hoc basis. For example, revenue flash reports, aged debt reports & associate spend reports.
* Ensure that internal expense and purchase policies are adhered to.
* Maintain current process and relevant systems knowledge E.g NetSuite, SalesForce.
* Work with the UK transaction teams on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are appropriately trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities and the requirements of them for the France region. Provide cover where required.
* Support the US Payroll Manager with monthly payroll queries, providing cover as needed.
* Liaising with managers of the business to develop procedures and controls, and ensure they are implemented and followed correctly.
* Be involved in the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting processes.
* Manage the French cash flow, including weekly cash forecasting, cash management, credit control activities.
* Provide ad hoc support across Talogy teams when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
* Fluent French and English speaker with experience of leading/managing the Accounting for a French company/division.
* Education to high school diploma/college degree level preferred, Maths and English qualifications essential.
* Professional Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or studying towards.
* NetSuite or similar accounting software experience is essential.
* Demonstrable previous experience of being an accounting lead in a French entity is essential.
* Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
* Experience of working across multiple global departments is preferred.
* French ID card is preferred.
* Knowledge and understanding of the testing industry is desirable.
* Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products, proficiency in Excel is desirable.
* Occasional travel to Paris and Guildford, UK is required.
