The postholder will co-ordinate data, records and images relating to the Roman Baths collection (approx.100,000 objects), ensuring the ongoing maintenance and development of the collection management system (Mobydoc Micromus e). Following a data review of the collections management system by the Collections Trust in 2023, post holder will plan and manage workstreams to improve information about the Roman Baths collection. About You You will be experienced in working with collections management systems to SPECTRUM standards within an Accredited museum, capable of managing the museum s Documentation policy, plan and procedures, and supporting collections staff in their implementation. You will have a strong interest in museums and heritage, and will be joining a small, dedicated and enthusiastic team. You will enjoy working in a busy environment, and be able to work both as part of the team and independently, managing your own workload. You will understand the importance of documentation in museums, and be confident communicating this to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will keep up to date with industry-wide developments in practice to inform changes in policy and procedure. Your main place of work will be The Roman Baths, Bath, with time required at offsite collection stores at Culverhay and Lansdown, Bath. Regular office attendance is required, although some hybrid working is possible in agreement with the line manager.
