Future Pro Academy is a forward-thinking and inclusive Football and Education Academy dedicated to nurturing the personal, academic, and athletic development of male and female student-athletes aged 16–23. Our mission is to empower students to excel both on the field and in the classroom, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed for a successful and fulfilling future.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and motivated individual to join our team as an Operations and Education Manager. This pivotal role integrates educational oversight with operational excellence to ensure the smooth functioning of our academy. As the bridge between academic and athletic priorities, the Operations and Education Manager will collaborate with staff, students, and external stakeholders to deliver a well-rounded and impactful student-athlete experience.
The role will support strategic goals, manage day-to-day operations, and contribute to the personal and academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Education Programme Management
1. Academic Oversight:
2. Work with academic staff to monitor and improve student performance, attendance, and progress.
3. Ensure all students meet eligibility requirements for athletic participation.
4. Collaborate with staff to design and implement interventions for underperforming students.
5. Curriculum Coordination:
6. Align academic schedules with athletic commitments to ensure a balanced experience.
7. Support the development of programmes that prepare students for further education or career pathways.
8. Stakeholder Engagement:
9. Liaise with schools, colleges, and education partners to enhance academic opportunities.
10. Provide parents and guardians with regular updates on student progress including weekly newsletters.
2. Operational Leadership
1. Scheduling and Logistics:
2. Manage facility bookings for classrooms, pitches, gyms, and other resources, ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
3. Oversee logistics for daily operations, including transportation and international meals.
4. Lease with all football and education faculty day to day.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
6. Allocate budgets for academic materials, equipment, and events, ensuring financial accountability.
7. Procure and maintain educational and athletic resources, such as textbooks, kits, and technology.
8. Compliance:
9. Maintain accurate records for safeguarding, medical information, academic attendance, and league requirements.
10. Ensure full compliance with education, sports leagues, and safeguarding regulations.
3. Student Welfare and Safeguarding
1. Well-Being and Pastoral Care:
2. Monitor the overall welfare of students, providing guidance for balancing academics and athletics with academy education staff.
3. Offer support, promoting professionalism and personal growth.
4. Ensure suitable pathways and support are available for students when leaving the academy.
5. Safeguarding:
6. Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to.
4. Communication and Collaboration
1. Internal Communication:
2. Serve as the primary liaison between academic staff, coaches, and operational teams.
3. Foster collaboration to ensure the seamless integration of academic and athletic goals.
4. Communicate with parents where required.
5. External Relationships:
6. Build partnerships with schools, clubs, governing bodies, and sponsors.
7. Act as the point of contact for the academy.
5. Event Management
1. Help organise open days, recruitment events, and academic workshops for new learners entering the academy.
2. Coordinate logistics for tournaments, tours, community outreach programs, and parent meetings.
3. Manage end-of-year celebrations, graduation ceremonies, and progress showcases.
4. Help transport students where required for academy events and day to day operations. Driving the minibus will be applicable at times.
6. Strategic Planning and Growth
1. Programme Development:
2. Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance the student experience.
3. Contribute to the development of innovative educational strategies that align with academy goals and business.
4. Ensure the 5-year FE & HE pathway achieves KPI’S and meets recruitment numbers for course progression each year.
5. Recruitment:
6. Plan and execute outreach campaigns to attract new students onto The FE & HE programmes.
7. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional content, including newsletters and social media updates.
8. Ensure The 5-year Future Pro Pathway is supported with UCAS applications and support.
9. Help assist in the recruitment for students from overseas.
10. Bonus scheme will be factored into the growth of the programme where applicable.
7. Management and Risk Mitigation
1. Develop and implement contingency plans for operational or academic disruptions, such as emergencies or schedule changes.
2. Coordinate with medical staff and senior management during crises, ensuring minimal impact on students.
8. Support for International Student-Athletes
1. Facilitate the integration of international students, providing guidance on adapting to academic, athletic, and cultural environments.
2. Arrange travel, accommodation, and visa support for international and out-of-area students.
3. Act as a key point of contact for international families, ensuring clear communication and updates regarding student progress and well-being.
9. Director Support and Administrative Oversight
1. Support with email, calls, and correspondence on behalf of the Director, ensuring efficient communication with stakeholders and business associates.
2. Coordinate travel, accommodation, and scheduling for both professional and academy-related commitments.
3. Prepare and distribute agendas, take meeting minutes, and ensure follow-up on action points.
4. Liaise with external partners, sponsors, and governing bodies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
