Job summary Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Recovery and Improvement to lead the organisation's financial recovery programme. This is a 12-month VSM fixed-term contract/secondment and a critical role in ensuring the Trust's financial sustainability. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the postholder will drive the delivery of cost improvement and transformation programmes to achieve financial targets and operational productivity improvements. This role is being offered as 12-Month FTC or secondment Main duties of the job Lead the delivery of the Financial Recovery Programme, ensuring the Trust meets its strategic objective of reducing the underlying financial deficit by 31 March 2026. Oversee and drive the implementation of cost improvement and transformation programmes, ensuring that the Trust achieves its agreed financial targets. Work in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), clinical and operational teams to embed financial sustainability initiatives. Build strong partnerships across the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) to enhance financial performance. Identify and lead programmes to improve operational productivity and workforce efficiency, including optimising workforce deployment, reducing temporary staffing usage, and enhancing the use of digital solutions. Ensure robust governance arrangements for financial and performance monitoring, identifying risks and mitigations proactively. Provide high-level advice and assurance to the CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Board, enabling data-driven decision-making on financial and operational recovery.
