About the Role
The Procurement team is repositioning itself to become a strategic enabler for BBC. Procurement Enablement will form a key part in this transformation, delivering enablers for Procurement and its stakeholders.
The Senior Procurement Enablement Manager for Service Delivery will play a key part in this, acting as the primary contact and leader for all services delivered by BBC's BPO TCS.
With the support of Enablement GPO teams, the role has the authority to deliver process and automation changes utilising the skills and technology provided by the BPO. The role will work closely with the Procurement SLT and other GPOs to align on ways of working and opportunities.
The senior enablement manager is a part of the procurement enablement leadership team and plays a key part in developing the strategy and team culture as foundations for a high performing team.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for actively defining and monitoring the process performance of outsourced procurement activities, identifying and leading continuous improvement to enhance efficiencies and drive standardisation.
* Responsible for managing process documentation, standard operating procedures, data governance and training material.
* Responsible for defining and monitoring service levels and KPIs with the BPO Outsourcer, including service reviews and dealing with major service events.
* Responsible for managing interactions between the BBC and BPO Outsourcer, acting as a point of contact and escalation route for local teams.
* Ensuring all relevant staff and the BPO Outsourcer receives adequate training to understand the wider context of the BBC as well as to understand their day-to-day roles.
* Manages a small team and acts as a role model, coaches and develops a high performing enablement team, creating opportunities for progression and succession planning.
* Works with all the relevant stakeholders, business, procurement, legal, sustainability, third party risk management, and finance teams to ensure best practice is applied across activities.
* Responsible for influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders to ensure consistent and efficient processes are in place, which are aligned to business needs.
* Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement through external research and peer networking and incorporating them into the BBC procurement enablement strategy.
Are you the right candidate?
* Proven experience managing business process outsourcing (BPO) partners for procurement operations, ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual agreements and performance metrics.
* Strong understanding of outsourcing models, including SLA and KPI development, tracking and reporting.
* Deep understanding of procurement processes, with a focus on how they integrate with outsourced services.
* Experience overseeing the seamless execution of procurement processes while ensuring compliance and quality standards.
* Ability to conduct regular service reviews with BPO provider, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Strong experience working with internal stakeholders to ensure BPO services are aligned with business needs and procurement objectives.
* Ability to implement governance frameworks to ensure outsourced procurement services comply with internal policies and external regulations.
* Familiarity with risk management principles, with an ability to monitor, assess and mitigate risks associated with BPO delivery.
* Demonstrated expertise in driving process improvements within procurement operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy and operational effectiveness.
* Experience in leveraging data and analytics to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions, such as automation and system enhancements.
* Ability to manage disruptions or changes in service delivery, ensuring continuity and minimal impact on services.
* Proven experience leading and mentoring team members responsible for managing BPO service delivery.
* Experience of large ERP and Procurement systems and associated processes (SAP ECC6, S4/Hana, Jaggaer, SAP Ariba).
* Desirable - Professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICM, MCIPS or similar).
