About the role Your responsibilities will include: To provide leadership, expert advice and direction to the staff working in the Outpatient Department (OPD), Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and Governance team. To support OSD Healthcare in maintaining its’ commitment to be a quality healthcare environment. To deliver expert information and guidance on Quality and Governance across the Organisation. To ensure a robust integrated governance framework is in place with complies with current legislation and the requirements of regulatory bodies including the Care Quality Commission (CQC). To be responsible for the operational day to day management of the Quality Agenda and those working within it. To ensure the incident reporting systems are well managed and issues responded to appropriately and thoroughly. To be responsible for the operational day to day management of the OPD, UTC, Governance. To ensure safe, thorough, evidence-based and high standard of nursing and patient care is delivered safely and consistently. To have a patient focuses service ensuring high quality care, cost-effective services with evidence-based nursing care and sound clinical judgement. To assist in developing the services of high-quality care to patients; to include treatment, preventative care, chaperoning, screening and patient education. To support the quality governance framework, agenda, and standards To support senior outpatient nurses in delivering an excellent service consisting of but not limited to facilitating Consultant, and GP led clinics and the provision of preventative care, screening, chaperoning, patient education, diagnostics, treatments, and assisting with minor operations. To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve / maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service across the hospital. To contribute to hospital initiatives and plans to improve the service and promote growth in the business. To effectively manage resources, including equipment, stock and optimal deployment of the nursing workforce. About you The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Be a Registered Nurse with post-registration qualification in a relevant subject, ideally with a relevant degree/management qualification, POA Course/Module, ENB 998 or similar mentorship course, degree/diploma in healthcare. Current and consolidated experience as a senior surgical nurse with experience of managing a team of nurses and HCAs, evidence of CPD, clinical supervision, previous primary healthcare/ POA Department experience ideally with experience of leading clinical supervision sessions and day surgery experience within a private healthcare setting.
