Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Van Rental and Hire Manager to join our team at DCS Automotive. The successful candidate will lead our automotive operations, ensuring the smooth management of our fleet while overseeing the efficient operation of our vehicle hire services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Fleet Management: Oversee the acquisition, utilization, and maintenance of a diverse fleet of vehicles to meet business needs, managing vehicle hire operations and optimizing availability and performance.
* Divisional Leadership: Lead the strategic development and operational management of the van hire division, ensuring alignment with overall company goals, and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate contracts for parts, materials, and services.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of automotive engineers, technicians, and support staff, developing training programs to enhance skills and ensure the team remains up to date with the latest automotive technologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in fleet management and vehicle hire operations.
* Strong background in dealership management, including repair processes, cost control, and quality assurance.
* Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing and developing a team of automotive professionals from body shop to sales teams.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Analytically minded, proven experience in analyzing performance and finance reports and identifying opportunities to drive profitability and business improvements.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to clients.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
