Production & Manufacturing Engineer Wellingborough Hours - Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30 Salary - to £45k Our established client based in Wellingborough is looking for an experienced Production & Manufacturing Engineer to join their forward-thinking team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Mentor and build a multiskilled manufacturing engineering team to enhance production methods. Process Optimisation: Streamline working practices to improve quality, speed, and service delivery. Digitisation & Training: Expand and implement digitisation initiatives, ensuring shop-floor staff are trained to operate effectively within a digitised environment. Cross-Functional Communication: Liaise between technical teams and clinicians to ensure alignment and seamless operation. Job Management: Plan and manage tasks based on company and customer priorities. Process Improvements: Work closely with management to enhance systems and processes across the business.Key Skills and Attributes required:- Strong leadership skills to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively. Excellent analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to problem-solving. A proactive mindset for identifying opportunities for improvement. Clear, effective communication at all organisational levels. Experience interpreting and designing technical drawings, with expertise in designing for manufacturing and error-proofing (Poke-Yoke). Skilled at presenting data-driven insights and decisions in meetings. Proven background in engineering processes with adaptability to embrace emerging technologies.Requirements:- A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Previous experience in robotics, with a strong understanding of Kuka robots as an advantage. Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Kaizen, and Quality systems.
