Apply now for the position of Manufacturing Engineering Intern and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies. Our Magnet Technology factory in Eynsham, Oxford, is at the forefront of manufacturing high-tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide. As we plan for our move to our new factory, the Process Engineering team have an important role to play in equipping us for the future.
This 12 month internship placement will provide you with hands-on experience in our Engineering team, and a chance to make a meaningful contribution. We are looking for students who want to take on real responsibility during their year in industry, and who want to take advantage of a structured Intern Development Programme.
Your role:
* You will gain an in-depth insight into manufacturing operations at a modern high-tech facility.
* You will take on various challenges and opportunities, including new product development/introduction, facility development, new test processes, quality improvements, waste reductions, tooling/plant development and process improvements.
* You will experience first-hand the challenges faced by today's manufacturing sector.
* You will work as part of the team to identify, contribute to and complete business critical engineering projects.
All of our Interns also participate in our 12 month Intern development programme teaching softer skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness alongside the role.
About you:
* You will be currently studying towards a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Physics and completing a 12 month industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degree.
* You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You will need to be proactive, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
* You should have a team oriented attitude and the ability to maintain good working relationships.
You must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the 12 month internship, and be available to start in June/July 2025.
