Complex Care Delivery Manager - Adult

Job Overview
Do you want to make a difference and influence Complex Care services? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional, or Social Worker with excellent clinical/client skills to apply for the role of Adult Mental Health Complex Care Delivery Manager.
NHS North West London offers flexible working, with the expectation that staff work 2-3 days per week in their designated office. Your exact working pattern is by agreement with your line manager, as requirements may vary between teams.
The post will work across Brent, Harrow, and Hillingdon and have oversight of adult mental health placements.
Main Responsibilities
1. Take a proactive role in planned placement reviews, including undertaking joint assessments with care managers.
2. Facilitate the placement process, familiarising themselves with providers to ensure cost-effective provision.
3. Support full assurance on safeguarding responsibilities, helping to resolve specific issues as they arise.
4. Work collaboratively with the local Mental Health Provider Trust in formulating the least restrictive care pathway for s117 patients.
Main Duties of the Job
The ideal candidate should have several years of post-qualifying experience, ideally including working at the interface between the NHS and Local Authorities. They should also possess the ability to work in a commercial environment with private and independent sector providers. The ability to troubleshoot issues and break down barriers to discharge is key.
The post requires personal resilience and a focused commitment to progressing time-critical actions. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to synthesise complex information sensitively and accurately. This is essential for succeeding in this post.
The candidate will need to have experience of working with people who have very complex needs and communication skills and be able to liaise confidently with a range of stakeholders. Attending clinically ready for discharge meetings, case conferences, and ward rounds for the most complex clients.
The candidate will have to be financially literate, have knowledge of Excel, and be able to learn the financial and clinical records system.

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
* Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.
Knowledge, Training, and Experience
* Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
* Experience of managing risks and reporting.
* Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
* Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
