Working for an independent, local & family owned cleaning company, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager/House Keeper to oversee the day-to-day running of a private family home for one of our clients based in Radcliffe on Trent. This is a varied and hands-on role, requiring a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a friendly, professional demeanour. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for the family.
Working Hours:
* Part-time, Monday to Friday
* 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
* No weekend or bank holiday working
Key Responsibilities:
* Full Housekeeping Duties: Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring all areas are well-presented and hygienic.
* Laundry Management: Manage all aspects of laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding. Change bed linens as required.
* Kitchen Duties: Load and unload the dishwasher, wash up as needed, and keep the kitchen tidy and organised.
* Tidying and Organisation: Keep the house tidy, with a particular focus on managing children’s toys and play areas.
* Household Maintenance: Oversee basic household maintenance tasks, including organising and coordinating maintenance visits from contractors.
* Parcel Reception: Receive and manage parcels and deliveries on behalf of the household.
* Home Organisation Projects: Assist with home organisation and improvement projects as required.
* Meal Preparation: Occasionally prepare simple, healthy meals for the children.
* Pet Care: Provide occasional care for the family dog, including cleaning food bowls, feeding, and securing the pet as needed.
* Errands: Run occasional errands, such as food shopping, post office runs, or other household purchases.
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in a similar housekeeping or house management role.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Friendly, trustworthy, and discreet, with a professional approach to work.
* Comfortable working in a family environment, including around children and pets.
* A valid UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous for running errands.

* This is a private household role, and the successful candidate will be expected to respect the family’s privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
