Quality Engineer

My client, a leading company in the electronics manufacturing sector, has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to contribute to continuous improvement and quality control of specialist equipment. Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Review customer performance monthly to ensure PPM and OTTP are met.
2. Drive scrap and rework reduction, own improvement projects and drive cross-functionally to ensure actions are closed to improve overall performance of COPQ.
3. Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
4. Support the Auditors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
5. Analyse failure, corrective and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
6. Preparation of QA reports.
7. Responsible for statistical data collection and analysis.
8. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns.
9. Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system such as lean, 6S etc.
10. Visit customers or suppliers as required to assist in quality-related issues and provide support and solutions.
11. Support Production and Engineering in quality-related issues & hold them to account for closure of audit and improvement actions.
12. Abide by the safety requirement of the site, but more importantly, be an advocate for safety raising issues and ensuring the safety of colleagues.
13. Ensure compliance with company codes of conduct.
14. Ensure companywide compliance with ESD and MSD requirements.
15. Produce PPAP documentation, including PFMEA and Control Plans.
16. Support customer as quality point of contact within a customer-focused team.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. HNC/HND or equivalent.
2. Experience of ISO:9001:2015.
3. Experience of 8D, 5Y, Fishbone and general lean tools.
4. Six Sigma.
5. Auditor training to ISO:9001, 14001, 45001.
